I wonder?

The other day at work I told my awesome partner Julie that I had to go pee before she left. I have been drinking more and more water each day. So I said to her "with all this water I've been drinking I need to pee like a race horse" I stopped to think about what I just said... Do racehorses pee more than a regular horse? We do we say I need to pee like a racehorse??

I was chatting with my man on the phone last night and I asked him the same question, we continued to chat about random stuff and then all of a sudden he says:

Racehorses are commonly given Lasix (aka Salix) which is a powerful diuretic. They pee a lot right before they race; we're talking gallons and gallons. The medication is thought to help prevent nasal bleeding, which sometimes happens when racehorses supremely over-exert themselves.

He googled it for me, what a sweetheart, even though I was a little miffed that he was busy googling while I was babbling about some other random thing. While on the house phone he googled it on his mobile so I would know the answer right away and also because he loves to know the answer to everything! ;) You may as well call him Tips!

Here are a few other sayings I find silly:

· Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya!
· Are you working hard? Or hardly working?
· Cat got your tongue?
